Shelter’s 201 is one of the most interesting moving magnet cartridges on the market. Produced in co-operation with Sumiko it brigs out the best of Japanese manufacturers mm cartridge characteristics with additional benefit of shelter’s higher audio standards.

Frequency response is wider then in other MM carts plus there is no sense of sound being ‘compressed’ or ‘edited’ in any way.

201 trademark is powerful and very deep low range ( bass ) with broad warm and organic mid-range. Properly set up 201 with show extraordinary detail in high range as well.
